This type of platform simply does not exist in Australia, so we’re incredibly honoured to be a part of this journey. Our ambition, right from the start, was to create a brand that could stand up there with the best in the world, and help the next generation of Indigenous Australians to "see it to be it."
When Nooky showed us his creative plans for We Are Warriors, we were immediately keen to jump on board and help amplify these incredible Warrior stories through film and photography.
Partnering with Nooky on WAW made sense on both a personal and professional level. Offering specialist services and ideas to bring value to such an important cause brings a sense of fulfilment and purpose. We’re proud to be a part of a movement that aims to set a new tone in inspiring and creating pathways for our Indigenous youth.
Accepting the offer to support WAW was an absolute no-brainer for us. Some things in life just need to be brought to the attention of the world, and the work that WAW is doing is absolutely one of them. We’re so grateful & excited to be involved.
Having worked with Nooky for the past few years on his music, it was an easy decision to get behind We Are Warriors. Alongside Nooky and the WAW team, we strive to support, facilitate and celebrate storytelling from Blak talent in this country. We're lucky enough to have an incredible line-up of people who have shared their experiences for the launch. We want their stories to show up across Australia, and for these stories to be more accessible for young First Nations people, bringing the #jointheWAW vision to life. As Nooky says, you have to see it to be it.
GARUWA is excited to show our young people that there are pathways to success, no matter the barriers they face. Showcasing the achievements of deadly Warriors making change across Australian society is where it's at. Representation is everything. Marrungbu Nooky, for creating this platform, and to Nooky’s mum for letting us all know that "WE ARE WARRIORS!"
After Entropico reached out to us to put our support behind We Are Warriors, we said yes without hesitation. We wanted to ensure that we supplied the best possible equipment for the team to go into this without limitations.
Carriageworks believes in the transformational power of arts and cultural experiences for all. Through delivering our dedicated First Nations youth program Solid Ground, we understand the value of building platforms for cultural and self-expression which empowers next generations of First Nations youth to rise and stand tall. We proudly stand alongside the We Are Warriors movement as partners, advocates and Allies.
We are joining We Are Warriors given the significant work and subsequent impact that the program will bring to young Indigenous people within the community. At JD, we're committed to elevating and supporting the next generation, and feel like we can partner with the WAW program by providing opportunities and insight given our connection to youth culture and the creative industries.
